After the Black Death Summer Assignment

Posted on June 10, 2016

I know, I know, it’s June 10th. Still, I want to give you guys some time to work on this so you’re not scrambling at the end of the summer to finish – even though I know for a fact some of you like to live dangerously and will do that anyway.

For the book After the Black Death, I’d like for each of you to formulate 10 questions about anything – ANYTHING – in the book. Things you want to know more about, things you want clarification on, anything. Your assessment over this book will be a participation in a class discussion over the course of a class period or two depending on time constraints.

Not every book in AP Euro, or document, or whatever I give you will be “read and answer this.” A lot of what we’ll do will be discussion, so be prepared to chat. If you’re an introvert (like me!) and don’t like talking a whole bunch during class that’s fine. If you hit a point where you want to say something, speak up and then disappear again for a little while. That’s my m.o. too. I do want to give all of you some advanced warning that there will be chatting in this class.

I also want to give you some advanced warning that your assessment on History – A Brief Introduction is written, take-home, and isn’t easily completed if you don’t read the book first.
