AP Psychology: Unit 2 Test Slack

Posted on January 22, 2018

I know that the schedule has been nuts and we’re going to be rushed because of the snow days. Since you had to read the first couple of day’s worth of stuff on your own and we don’t have much time to review it in class, I’ve decided to cut you some slack on your test.

Instead of the 25 points that the short answer section originally was weighted at, I’m bumping it up to 50. Now each multiple choice question is only worth a point.

As an added bonus, here are the short answer questions. Don’t get used to me giving you things in advance – this is just an emergency provision:

  1. Describe the firing of a neuron, exploring the following (4 pts each part):
  • polarization (please include resting charge)
  • movement of ions
  • depolarization
  • refractory period
  • neurotransmitter release and reuptake
  • threshold
  • role of dendrites and axons
  • myelin sheath
  1. Explain the difference between the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system. Be sure to explain specifically how the body responds to the activation of each (12 points).
  1. What is heritability? (6 points)
