This is one of the most currently relevant things covered in a world history class – the impacts of the revolution and establishment of Mao as the chief figure in China during the Cold War (and the support of Stalin to get him into power) still has consistent ramifications today. Ever wonder why China is an authoritarian state? It’s Stalin. North Korea? Still Stalinist.
